All Kids Need Music April 2021 Newsletter

I am so happy to report to you the difference that compassionate people like you are making in orphans’ lives! I hope you enjoy the spotlight on “T” in the Changed Children section. We are so proud of “T”, and excited that her story of progress is going to be shared in a TV interview! We believe it will encourage others to help the vulnerable orphans we serve receive the healing they need, as well as help find forever families for these children who desperately want a home. Since our last newsletter, I am happy to report that we are now providing music lessons for FIFTEEN orphaned U.S. children because of generous corporate and individual sponsors. I hope you are doing well! It’s an incredibly busy time of year for most of us, so I appreciate you taking the time to read our newsletter. Last month I shared about what foster children experience when they go back to school. This month, I’d like to highlight an additional challenge that these vulnerable children endure.  Once children are removed from their homes to protect them, they are housed in shelters, group homes, and foster homes. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, they are forced to move an average twice a year. They pack their meager possessions in a garbage bag, backpack, or shabby suitcase. Some children quit bothering to unpack. They also quit bothering to make friends, trust adults, or connect with teachers. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!  We have so much to be thankful for! At All Kids Need Music, a non-profit organization that helps children, we are so grateful that our therapeutic music lessons are assisting abused, traumatized, and at risk children heal and recover lost ground in their young lives.  It is absolutely amazing to witness the transformations that occur when these children are given the tools they need to process their grief.  It truly does help level the playing field in a situation where the deck is totally stacked against them for their future. What Our Program Does for Abused & At Risk Children Our therapeutic music program helps children heal and grow by: Reducing depression and anxiety. Improving cognitive functioning. Increasing academic success. Growing self-esteem. Developing personal responsibility. National Adoption Month is a wonderful time of year where many children are adopted.

Our Non Profit Charity for Children Supports Teens in Foster Care With Music

The founder of All Kids Need Music has operated a music school for years. Director Ed Kelly began noticing that students were unable to participate in the music programs in each classroom. Many children are not able to experience the amazing benefits of learning how to play a musical instrument.
